(HoS) TL Game Suite - WIP (HoS) TL Game Suite - WIP

Rated 5 / 5 stars

This is brilliant, really. Personally I love the crackling sound in the first few minutes, it's that kind of out-of-place sound that sets a certain mood in the piece. You employ motives and themes in a good way, and the music has a very programmatic (I guess, haven't read about the game yet though) feel to it, which is good for game music. It can get kind of repetitive at times, but I doubt it will feel the same in a game, and besides, it's got enough tension to keep me interested either way. This really puts me in the correct kind of mood, so well done at that..And the sound quality is generally rather good. What software did you use?

Overall, I love it! Very well done, I will definitely listen to more of your music, and I might even have to try that game :)

I'm pretty much rendered speechless. Although a few of the notes sound a bit off, this is a beautiful piece of work. Thank you for sharing this piece of art with us.

One of the best tracks I've heard on Newgrounds. Not that I've heard an awful lot, but it's still pretty great. I love the contrasts in the guitar and vocals. Riffs actually remind me of Opeth from time to time. Keep up the good work. Solid 10/10 from me!

SolarPlexious responds:

Cheers buddy! Sorry for the late reply, have been very busy working on new material with a band now.
I appreciate the comment ty very much :3

I'm not sure if it's up now but I just released a new track I have been working on which is a bit more rock n roll! Hope you enjoy future stuff :)

This is pretty awesome for game music. I'm thinking 2D-platform shooter. I 'dl ove to play a game with this in it! Keep up the good work! :D

Well, I think you'll be glad to know this, as this and any more songs I'm working on, are made for a badass fighting game with way too many characters, most of which are insanely overpowered, but meh.

Nice riffs. I really like them though. Was expecting some distorted guitar in the beginning, but it works very well! Personally I|d love for it not to be as repetitive and add some distorted guitar somewhere. Good job. :D

I like it. The progression in the song and how it blends together is great. Some of the sounds seem to have sort of an edge that I personally would have liked a bit smoother, but that's just me. Good job! :D

square-spirit responds:

I kind of chose a weird progression that went up and then went back down so it looped once every 8 measures. thanks that you liked it!
exactly where are the notes too harsh?

edit: I just realized that I had reviewed your song as well, but never noticed that it was you....

Good draft, but needs some work.

Seems like a very nice piece, but it could use some work. The mix seems horribly unbalanced to me; the drums being too loud and the guitar barely audible. Looking forward to the full version though! :D

Great piece.

This piece is proof of how much I underrate C major. Great job. Nice flow, great rhythmic, and good theme.

Pure brilliance. It sets an amazing atmosphere, with a kind of eerie/creepy mood. I don't have much else to say. Very good work.

Arkaft responds:

Thank you so much ;) But the Current Score isn't that good unfortunately....
